Why buy the building instead of continuing to rent?
While our current lease runs through 2027, we were approaching a two-year extension period with potential rent increases. Purchasing secures a permanent home for our church, removes the risk of rising rent, and eliminates the need to find a new location.
More importantly, ownership also allows us to improve and customize our spaces for ministry in ways we couldn’t as renters. It gives us the freedom to make much-needed updates without limitations or hesitation.

What is the purchase price?
The purchase price is $4,500,000. We plan to put $900,000 down at closing and finance the remaining $3,600,000. When opportunities arise to make larger payments or reduce the loan balance, we will do so.
How does owning vs. renting affect our finances?
After rental income, our monthly payment will increase by about $2,000—approximately a 14% increase. We plan to explore refinancing options or increasing rental income to help offset this cost.
Will the current tenants stay?
Yes, for now. While our long-term vision is to use the entire property for ministry, we’ll honor existing leases and renew them as needed. We’re committed to providing a positive experience for tenants and supporting their businesses in the short term.
How was the decision to purchase made?
This decision was made after years of prayer, planning, and thoughtful discussion. Our staff and elders have been considering this for a long time and negotiating with the owner for over a year.
We’ve consulted with business leaders and real estate professionals in our church family, crunched the numbers, and prayed for discernment throughout the process. Over the past 12–18 months, our elders held multiple meetings focused solely on this decision. After careful consideration, we believe purchasing is the direction God wants us to go.

What is the goal of Above+Beyond 2025?
We aim to raise $1,500,000 to fund "phase one" improvements and assist with the down payment. These upgrades include:
These improvements have been needed for a while, but we felt it wasn’t wise to invest heavily in a rented space. This is just the beginning of a long and fruitful season of ministry. We believe that much more is to come as we use these resources to inspire people to live and love like Jesus. We are excited about our future, and we are committed to faithfully leveraging everything we have to make an eternal impact.
